The Nebraska Children’s Home Society is a licensed private,
non-sectarian, non-profit child placing agency focused on providing
safe and loving care to children of all ages. Our offices, located
in nine cities throughout Nebraska, offer the following services:
We offer a variety of services for those who are dealing with
an Unplanned Pregnancy. Among the things we can do are:
- Provide on-going support and education services
- Assist you with obtaining prenatal care
- Help you identify and sort through your emotions
- Help you talk to your family about your pregnancy, your options,
and your rights
- Discuss the role of your baby’s father, including legal
rights and responsibilities
- Explore adoption and parenting options
- Provide you with information about your resources in your
community
- Offer birth parent support groups
Nebraska Children’s Home Society wants you to have all
the facts necessary to do what’s best for your baby and
you. A good plan includes consideration of single-parenting and
adoption, and requires courage, compassion, and common sense.

The Nebraska Children’s Home Society provides safe and loving
care to children of all ages.
OTHER PROGRAMS OF NCHS
Nebraska Children’s Home Society provides care through our statewide Adoption Program, Foster Care for primarily medically fragile children, and through our specialized child care program for children ages 18 months to 8 years old.
Nebraska Children’s Home Society also provides the following
services:
- Ongoing adoption education, support and placement services
- Preparation and life-long support for adoptive children and
families
- Post-legal adoption services
- Temporary foster care services
- Special needs adoption service
- “Adoption University”,
a high school, middle school, and elementary school curriculum that raises awareness about adoption among our young people.

At Nebraska Children’s Home Society, we adhere to a flexible
approach in order to help solve problems and meet the needs of
those who turn to us. We don’t make people conform to our
list of services. Rather, our services are tailored to the situation
and the people involved in order to provide the greatest benefit
for each child.
